William Alexander Sigman

Posted October 20, 2016

William Alexander Sigman (Alex), age 45, encourager of all he met, lover of his wife, family, fur family and the joy of sports, died unexpectedly on October 20.

Alex was born on October 5, 1971, the son of Blanca and Dix Johnson (deceased). He lived a life dedicated to his wife and daughter, always supporting their interests and ready to invest in their hobbies and his own, unconditionally and full speed.  In his personal time Alex enjoyed sports, cars and personal improvement pursuits, including running and motivational books. Alex loved to push himself to be at his highest and best self and encouraged others to do the same.

His leisure hours found him rooting on his beloved Seahawks, but he also loved the sport of soccer. Alex  was a skilled player himself, having played soccer for the Geoducks all through college at Evergreen State College and advancing to pro soccer for the Seattle Storm.

Alex is survived by his mother Blanca Johnson, sister and brother-in-law Jessica and Leopoldo Gomez, wife Taryn and daughter Chase, as well as his beloved four legged family members:  Chevy, Reiner, Pepper and others.

Mass will be held on Monday Oct. 31 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa The Little Flower Catholic Church, 11001 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485. A brief wake will immediately follow at Isle of Palms County Park.
