Betty Lou McKeon Homa, beloved wife of the late Peter J. Homa Sr., formerly of Fairfield,CT and Pinehurst, NC; passed away on March 24, 2017 at her home in Daniel Island, South Carolina, with family members present.

Born on December 19, 1926 to the late William E. and Ruth McKeon, Betty Lou graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield,CT and also attended Larson Junior College in New Haven, CT.  She was employed by Southern New England Telephone as a service representative in Bridgeport,CT and also worked for SAFECO Insurance and the Eugene J. Richter Real Estate Agency in Fairfield,CT.

Betty Lou enjoyed reading, traveling, and mostly just being with her family.  Among her most cherished memories were spending summer vacations at Rocky Bound Pond, Sunapee Hills, and Canaan Street Lake in New Hampshire, especially when her family and friends came to stay.

Survivors are her sons William P. Homa and his wife Marie of Pinehurst,NC and Peter J. Homa Jr. and his wife Lois of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters Betsy A. Homa and Nancy H. Downie, both of Daniel Island, SC; her grandchildren Melissa Pocock, Sarah Patterson and her husband Michael, Laura Gould and her husband Bryan, Christine Homa, Elizabeth Amick and her husband Anthony, Lola Downie, Steven Fellmeth and his wife Tara, and Kristina Walsh and her husband Greg; and great-grandchildren Will, Hannah, Wyatt, Symon, Sadie, and Eli; and many nieces and nephews.
