Orval Eugene Youtsey, age 78, of Summerville, died Saturday night, July 8th, 2017 at a local hospital with his wife and friends at his side.

Born in VanWert, OH, and raised in Addison, Michigan, he was the son of the late Ivan Youtsey and Leona Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Hicks Youtsey, four children; Pamela, Deanna, James, Allen and a step-son Kirby with his wife Melissa. Alice and Orval married 36 years ago and lived in Summerville, SC until now.

After graduation, he served in the Air Force for 23 years and worked securlarly after that until he retired. According to Orval, one of the best things that happened to him in his life (after meeting Alice) was when he began to study the Bible and learned that Jehovah was God's name among many other things. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 2005. Along with his work as a minister for the Witnesses, all who knew him knew that he loved his truck and boat and his fishing.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at 2PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1308 S. Main St. Summerville, SC.
