Gisele Marie Tolentino, 76, widow of Danny Tolentino, Sr., passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 8, 2017.
She was born on June 12, 1941 in Osterhofen, Germany. As a Navy wife, she followed her husband from coast to coast, settling in Charleston 46 years ago. After retiring from Robert Bosch, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking care of her cats, gardening, playing bingo with friends, and knitting and donating beautiful baby blankets to local charities.
Gisele will be greatly missed by her four children: Lisa Villa and husband Mark of Summerville, Lora McLaughlin and husband David of Mount Pleasant, Danny Tolentino, Jr. of Dallas, TX, and David Tolentino of North Charleston; her four adored and treasured grandsons: Adam McLaughlin, David McLaughlin, Christian Gurney, and Aiden McLaughlin; her surviving siblings: Gretel Mueller and Alfons Altmann, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Danny Tolentino, Sr., parents, Alton and Matilde Altmann, and siblings Hannah Sakowski, Clara Altmann, and Tony Altmann.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 6650 Dorchester Road, North Charleston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Capital Campaign or by paying it forward with a non-monetary act of kindness.
Her children thanks all of her special friends and the caring oncology nurses and staff at Trident Medical Center for making their mother's last few weeks comfortable
