Mr. John Fulmore, 72, of Charleston passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018.
John Fulmore was born on September 30, 1945 to the late Henry Rouse and Clifford Lee Ramsey. He is affectionately known as “JR” (with 2 Drips). He attended and graduated from C.A. Brown High School class of 1964. After high school he was employed by Mike Shoe store until he was hired by Leon’s Menswear, where he found his passion for selling clothes. He worked at Leon’s Menswear for 10 years. His other passion was in the field of painting. He was a Master Painter for 25 years until he retired in 2012.
He was married to Barbara Morris for 4 years. He leaves behind a daughter, Nicole Simmons of Charleston, SC, 4 grandchildren, Rachel T. Simmons Ramsey, Frank F. Simmons, Jr., Christopher E. Simmons, and Jordan I. Holmes-Ramsey, all of Charleston, SC.
“JR” leaves behind 6 siblings, Samuel Fulmore of New York, Richard (Louise) Rouse of Columbia, SC, Jerome Rouse of Columbia, SC, Barbara Lemon, Elaine Rouse and Henrietta Dash all of Charleston, SC, and a host of Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.
JR’s favorite songs were “I’m Going UP Yonder” and “Say Yes”.
John’s Home Going Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 22, 2018 in the Oakbrook Chapel at Tri-County Cremation Center, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville.
