SMSgt. Thomas E. Gross, USAF (Ret), 73, of Summerville, husband of Merle “Elizabeth” Gross, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Tri-County Cremation Center, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Mr. Gross was born July 9, 1941 in Kokomo, Indiana, son of the late Virgil and JoAnn Ritchie Gross. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving for 30 years, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant. Surviving in addition to his wife are: one daughter: Dawn Jones and husband Joe, three grandchildren: Kyle, Dustin and Jessica, two great grandsons, two step daughters: Jessica and Jamie Whitaker.

Well, grandpa I was here exactly a week ago hugging you telling you I love you and the next day, you were gone. I love you with all of my heart and I’ll forever miss you.
