~~Deborah Lynn Merlo, 51, of Moncks Corner, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Tri-County Cremation Center Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
Deborah was born July 30, 1965 in Pittsburg, PA, daughter of Eugene Alfred Merlo of Summerville and Sally Anne Stec Reber of Conway. She was a graduate of Coastal Carolina in Conway and Rosemont College in Pennsylvania, receiving her Master’s in English and Publishing. She loved writing, crafts, the outdoors, coffee and spending time with her family. She was the staff writer for Summerville Communications.
Surviving in addition to her parents are: two daughters and two sons: Kimberly Dusenberry of Conway, Timothy Wylie and Michael Wylie both of Harrisburg, PA, and Emily Wylie of Moncks Corner, one grandson, Patrick Young, one granddaughter, Briasia Young and one grandson on the way, Jeremiah Michael Carr, two brothers and one sister, Jason Merlo of Quincey, Illinois, Traci Reische of Mt. Sterling, Illinois and Stephen Reber of Missouri, Kansas, stepfather, David Reber of Harrisburg, PA, stepmother, Arlelene Merlo of Summerville, and former spouse, Stephen Wylie of Deland, Florida, several nieces and nephews.
