Faye Shelmerdine Caporn Coynor died peacefully on June 14, 2017 in her home at the Village at Summerville.  Born in Perth, West Australia, Mrs. Coynor was the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick John Caporn.  Mrs. Coynor was predeceased by her dear husband of 67 years, Charles Coynor, Jr.  Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of St. Luke's Lutheran Church located at 206 Central Avenue, Summerville, South Carolina on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Coynor was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Summerville.  While her health permitted she had been active with the Alter Guild, The Tuesday Evening WELCA Circle, The St. Luke's Children's Center Board of Directors and The New Generation.  She had also been a member of the Summerville Chapter of the OES.  She served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years.  Mrs. Coynor was retired from the Charleston Air Force Base.

Mrs. Coynor is survived by her children John Lesley Coynor (Libby), Susan Gary Rosebrock (Blan), and Helen Coynor-Crossley (Pam).  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Katherine Margaret Coynor, Jennifer Elizabeth Coynor, Frank Boyd Gary IV (Joy), Matthew Stender Rosebrock (Marie),and Margie Abigail Rosebrock, her great granddaughters, Madeline Leigh Gary, and Lucy Nickel (Matthew and Marie Rosebrock) as well as her sister-in-law, Evelyn Coynor Moser and her family and brother-in-law, Davis Hamilton Coynor (Mildred) and his family.

In addition to Charles Coynor, Mrs. Coynor was predeceased by her sister, Thelma Caporn Broun, her son-in-law, Frank Boyd Gary III, her sister-in-law, Jeanette Coynor and brothers-in-law Richard T. Broun, Arvil L. Moser, and Thomas Hale Coynor.

The family wishes to especially thank all the staff and caregivers of The Village at Summerville (Presbyterian Home), for their prayers and kind and loving care of Momma during her residence at the Home.  Just to mention a few, and in no particular order, we thank Dr. Russ Blackwelder, Pastor Achim Daffin, Jennifer, Michele, Alberta, Eleanora, Jody, Kim, Kimm, Gloria, Adam, Theresa, Jasmine, Cameron, Jennifre, Jasmine, Jennifer, Alonzo, Ricco, Josephine, Kathy, Lauren, Brenda, Mallory, Katie, Gary, Debra and Vincent.  We also especially appreciate the kind ministries of Hospice of Charleston, in particular Vicky Brown, RN, Chaplin Marshall, Pastor Stacy, Dawn, Gwen and Willa.  We thank Pastors Nathan and Andrea Rice and Pastor Bob Holly from St. Luke's Lutheran Church for their pastoral care and prayers.  We also thank the students from Trident Technical College CNA training who under the wonderful guidance of Joanne Caccamise and Carol Ramey provided extra special attention to Momma during their rotations.  We also lovingly thank Kate Miller who was often our "eyes and ears" and always a faithful visitor.  If we have left out anyone, please forgive us and know that while your name may have escaped us, your kindness did not.
